Let us wait for a firm ID, besides I see no horns and in C. minutus both sexes have horns.

Close, but.
Close, but no cigar - C. fricator doesn't reach Florida, barely gets into South Carolina. Hard to tell from this photo, this actually looks like C. minutus, but maybe Copris inemarginatus Blatchley - the other Florida spp. are rare.

I have no way to ID this as inemarginatus or as minutus. This beetle was not shiny, but more dull. I will move to Copris page.
