Does anyone know what kind of bug/insect this is? Found in Central MN.

Yes, it's there now
It looks like a grasshopper. We'll look more closely.
Here is your insect
Here is what we think we see, though likely a different species

Please post images of bugs to ID Request
here at BugGuide. Not many people have time to go offsite to ID bugs. You will get more input if the image is actually here at BugGuide.

Pictures
I'm not sure how to paste the picture on here. I tried. The link will take a person right to the picture. Oh well. I can't figure out how to do it.

Image Help
This will explain how to do it . . . Image Help

Uploading an image from your computer...
When adding an image to the ID Request, you can simply add it from your computer as you would with Facebook. Not all of us are up with the times and have a Facebook account. I'm from northern MN, so I might be able to help you, but I don't have an account.

ID request
I uploaded the picture to the ID request page within this site. If there is a way to add the image to this particular thread/message, it's a mystery to me. Hopefully you see my bug on the ID request page. This site is new to me so I'm learning.

ID request is best
Best to hit the ID request. We are always going through images and always trying to point people in the right direction. Everyone here is VERY helpful.

Welcome! We're always happy to help. Our goal is to teach the world about our invertebrate friends.

Image ID/upload
It should be uploaded now - had to try it again but it does show up on my images now. Might be a locust?
