Found by on my firewood supply in the summer of 2004. Actual date not recorded :(
Haven't seen one since.
Not real sure this is a Xylotrechus sp.

Yes, The amount of pale pubescence can be quite variable. The species is associated with Abies.

Both Abies concolor - White Fir, and Abies magnifica - Red Fir, occur here within the Mountain Meadows Basin.
