Very similar to what I've been seeing in RI
I've been seeing lots of Telamona ampliata lately. It's a birch feeder according to Dr. Hamilton. Likely a trick of the light, but mine never showed wine colors in their eyes. I'm interested in where he sends this.

yes, with a lower crest than usual; you photographed similar individuals back in 2008 as T. pyramidata, and I had neglected to correct you
