Carr Canyon, south of Sierra Vista, Cochise County, Arizona, USA
August 6, 2010
Meadow surrounded by oak/juniper/pine forest. Elevation 5350 feet. These flies are fairly common here. This is a smaller one, so presume it to be a male.
