Large red and black wasp - Buathra perplexa - Female

Size: 18-20mm
I suspect this is an Ichneumon Wasp but maybe someone could confirm and shed some light on this wasp. It seemed pretty large and not as frenetic as some similar but smaller ones I have seen before. The ovipositor suggests female.

How do you decern this from laborator?
Is it the red at the base of the antennae? Just curious. I always appreciate your updates!
