This insect was perched on the edge of a zinnia, I'm not sure if it crawled, jumped or flew, it just suddenly appeared and then disappeared! This is the only shot that I got. Thanks for any help in identifying this one.

Looks like...
a male Phymata pennsylvanica although the photograph angle make it difficult to be certain.
