Explanation of Names

Erigeron is the genus name of the host plant.

Size

Wingspan 11 mm. (1)

Range

Records from east Texas and Oklahoma, east to Florida, north to North Carolina, and west to Illinois. (2)

Type locality: Columbia, Texas, from larva on gall (E.A. Schwarz). (1)

Food

Riley associated the larva with a fly (Cecidomyiidae) gall in fleabane (Erigeron). (1)
