unidentified caterpillar - Ceratomia catalpae

unidentified caterpillar - Ceratomia catalpae
Dixon, Pulaski County, Missouri, USA
August 12, 2010
Size: about 2 to 2.5 in long
I found it walking on my sidewalk in the front yard. It was fairly large and docile (didn't seem to bother it when I picked it up and relocated it.)
