Barred Yellow, perhaps?

Agreed
With that shape and color pattern E. daira is pretty much the only choice down here. Didn't realize there was another BugGuider in Davie. Where do you do most of your bugging out?

Where the Bugs are?
Best habitiat for me is at Long Key Nature preserve (Davie)- They have a nice butterfly garden and access to open fields, woods and wetlands. Pinecrest (behind Tree Tops park) is also great for butterflies and Dragonflies.

Where are your hot spots?

Same
Pretty much the same. I'm walking distance to Tree Tops down the ridge. I've spotted tons of leps by the ponds on that walk. Went to Long Key just last week with my 10 month old. Nephila clavipes run that place. Funny to see people looking up nervously at all the webs over the trail.
