White-banded Kearfottia Moth - Hodges #0319 - Kearfottia albifasciella
Mobile (Dog River), Mobile County, Alabama, USA

I like the positive/negative markings on this moth; brown spots on white, white spots on brown. Despite being distinctively marked, I am not having any success ID'ing this moth. Thanks for any help.

Nice photo to add to the guide for the species!

Maury,
I've recently been using a fluorescent black light/sheet in various locations in my 3-acre yard, near the ground. I'm finding things I've never seen before :)

Also, two years ago I did not know a single moth. Thank to BP and you, this is the 318th moth I have photographed, ID'd to species.

Thanks for all your help.
Robert
