Cecrita guttivitta Walker, 1855, n. comb. in Becker (2014)(2), was formerly in the genus Heterocampa in the 1983 Hodges Checklist.

Drab Prominent Moth - Misogada unicolor: Bronze scales on the tuft of the head are diagnostic in distinguishing this species from H. guttivitta which has green scales on the tuft.
