Planthopper - Ormenoides venusta

Planthopper - Ormenoides venusta
Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, USA
June 25, 2004
This was shot at John D. MacArthur Beach State Park. I've seen these white planthoppers on Sea Grape trees where they can appear in large numbers.

Moved
Moved from Ormenoides venusta.

Moved
Moved from Nephesini.

Moved
Moved from Palm Flatid Planthopper.

I suspect that this is a currently unknown orange species in Florida that Charles Bartlett is looking into.

Flatidae
Ormenaria rufifascia (Flatidae) with the wax preventing you seeing the reddish bands
