Fishing Spider - Dolomedes scriptus - Female
Poobah Lake, Quetico Provincial Park, Ontario, Canada
August 12, 1981
On another trip to Quetico, we found another Dolomedes. This one was sitting on her nursery web, guarding the babies. We're guessing that makes this a female.

the banded legs and the abdom
the banded legs and the abdominal pattern suggest D. scriptus i believe. very very cool shots.
