Blow Fly - Cochliomyia macellaria - male

Blow Fly - Cochliomyia macellaria - Male
Harrisonburg, Rockingham County, Virginia, USA
August 14, 2010
Size: ~10 mm
A number of these flies were feeding on mint blossoms. I noted them because of their prominent green and black striped backs. Based on BugGuide images and comments, I think this may be Cochliomyia macellaria.
