Old Picture, but...
Arg! Wish i could find some! I too live in Michigan, and was hoping there would be more documented Wolf spiders by now. Maybe I'm not thorough enough when looking for burrows.

I have returned to the site several times and no carolinensis. I found the male and female just yards apart, plus a large Geolycosa, all out of their burrows. Never had a productive night like that since despite numerous trips back. Look for them in sandy areas.
