Click Beetle - Heteroderes amplicollis

Click Beetle - Heteroderes amplicollis
Houston, Harris County, Texas, USA
August 18, 2010

Moved
Moved from Click Beetles.

Given solid dark color and range, H. amplicollis is more likely over H. sordidus. H. falli is another possibility, but they usually have some vague, light markings.

Oophorini
Looks like a Heteroderes, but in TX both H. amplicollis and H. sordidus (among others possibly) are likely.
