Margined White?? -
Pieris marginalis
-
UBC Botanical Garden, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
August 13, 2010
Like most whites, this one constantly flitted without stopping for more than a second. Its wing markings seem to resemble those of the margined white.

Looks like Margined White is correct
Difficult to be certain from these photos, but the pattern is more like
P. marginalis
, and it seems to lack the dark tips of the wing that are always present on female
P. rapae
and so often missing on
P. marginalis
.

?
Never heard of a "margined white." This looks like a female Cabbage White to me.
