Two-Horned Darklings - Neomida bicornis - male

Two-Horned Darklings - Neomida bicornis - Male
Near Ruraldale, Upshur County, West Virginia, USA
March 9, 2006
Size: 3.4 mm.
Photographed these beetles, both males and females, as they scurried around after I pulled some bark away. Presumably they were feeding on thread-like fungi under the bark.

Not until I got home and examined the photos did I notice the little horns on the males. How cool, and they made the ID a snap, thanks to Dillon & Dillon and BugGuide.
