Identification
Similar to G. sevorsa, but with front wing above with nearly evenly curved red-brown postmedian line bordered on outer side by a pale submarginal band; with three dark submarginal triangles near apex not well-developed (usually only two in number), but usually prominent and well-developed in G. sevorsa. Hind wing of G. radicalis with dark border wider.
See also Gerrodes minataea, which is larger, with the curved bands of the outer front wing curving around along the inner margin, and also with the hind wing dark border narrower.

se. Arizona and sw. New Mexico to s. Mexico
Food
unknown, but likely uses Vitaceae as larval hosts
