Based on clicking through page after page of Bombyliidae, I'm tempted to say it looks like a Dipalta...but I'd like someone who actually knows what they're talking about to confirm.

...if you'd kept this post at Bee Flies. FWIW, I think you're right to species.

You may want to email Joel Kits, who'd IDed several of these for the site, or Hartmut Wisch, who seems to have a handle on them. I doubt if either will see it if you leave it at species.
