The pictured specimen is collected on a sunny day near the Pierre Bayou. The size is about 10mm.

It appears that identifying tiger beetles to subspecies, ...
where it applies, isn't much of a priority judging by contributions I continually see posted.

Never the less, in case you might be interested, this is C. trifasciata ascendens - the eastern form of this species.

The western subspecies, sigmoidea, is a dull green with similar maculations (= markings).

This is one of those situations where every picture in the Guide is of C. trifasciata ascendens so placing them all under the subspecies designation seemed to be a moot point, but I have moved them.
