Reindeer-faced Weevil - Brachyderes incanus

Reindeer-faced Weevil - Brachyderes incanus
East Greenwich, Kent County, Rhode Island, USA
August 19, 2010
Size: 9mm
I've been calling this thing "Reindeer-faced Weevil" ever since I saw it the other night.
After some searching I found somebody called Pantomorus cervinus. I'm not suggesting
this is that species, but at least somebody else was thinking "deer" when they looked
at weevils of this body model.

I'm really hoping this is not just a Cyrtepistomus castaneus with the patina worn off.

I've been waiting to see what that turned out to be...
