Ant tending aphids - Crematogaster cerasi

Ant tending aphids - Crematogaster cerasi
Near Ruraldale, Upshur County, West Virginia, USA
June 22, 2009
Size: 3.3 mm
Crematogaster, sí?

Moved
Nce picture of Crematogaster cerasi, which shows the relative shininess, slight bicoloration, and single to few "humeral" (on anterior pronotal corners) erect setae that distinguish this species from the other common, dark-colored, eastern one, the duller and more bristly C. lineolata.

(NOTE: Several others in SE US can be more difficult to separate.)

Thanks
