Mystery bee in Desert Dandelion - Andrena olivacea - female

Mystery bee in Desert Dandelion - Andrena olivacea - Female
Borrego Springs, San Diego County, California, USA
April 22, 2010
Size: BL 9 mm
This bee was seen on Desert Dandelion (Malacothrix californica var. glabtrata) in the low sandy desert at DiGiorgio Road. With its metallic thorax it seems to resemble an Osmia. But I am not familiar with such long marginal cells. I will post an enlargement of the wings. Any help will be much appreciated!
