Neoporus shermani (Fall) - Neoporus shermani
Camp Maxey, Paris, Lamar County, Texas, USA

Det. M. A. Quinn, 2019

coll'ed at UV light

spmn in the UTIC, Austin, TX

looks like Neoporus shermani
there are six Neoporus spp. on Karl Stephan's Oklahoma list(1), not all of which do I have images for, but N. shermani seems to be a good fit.

I think you are correct now

Can't tell species
without provision of body size and a ventral shot...Even so, I think species ID would still be difficult as there are many similar-looking TX species...a much better solution would be to send the specimen (if collected) to an expert to get it dissected and examined in hand/under a scope. It will be nice to get a photo voucher!

I don't think this is Neoporus
Might consider Heterosternuta diversicornis
