This was one of dozens infesting a White King Bolete (Boletus barrowsii. Fortunately there was plenty of uncontaminated tissue for an omelet.

MND p. 227 says structure of creeping welts on bottom can ID to subfamily or near.

Definitely
a Mycetophilid - got it under the microscope right now. Can't find a larval key for these guys though.

If you mean Mycetophilidae s.l., we call that Sciaroidea and the larva goes to 398216(1). Mycetophilidae s.s. larvae to go 367611(2).

I don't know of a larval key. Manual of Nearctic Diptera has some notes that might get it to subfamily.

 
I don't know the s.l. or the s.s.
of this animal, but it keys out to Mycetophilidae in the Manual of Nearctic Diptera.
