Leucorrhinia - Leucorrhinia proxima - male

Leucorrhinia - Leucorrhinia proxima - Male
Baxter state park, Maine, USA
July 28, 2005
I believe this is Leucorrhinia, proxima or frigida. Is that right, and which one ?
Thanks

Probably proxima
They're both similar, but proxima has traces of red on top of the thorax, where the wings attach(not visible here), and proxima is one of the larger whitefaces, while frigida is one of the smallest.

Size
Thanks. I read indeed about the size difference, but since I did not take any measurement, I don't have that info. However, I remember it as a "small dragonfly" and none of the other pictures I took (this guy definitely had his territory on the very picnic table we elected!) show any trace of red on the thorax.
Hence it is "probably - whatever that means" frigida.
