Leptomantispa pulchella? - Leptomantispa pulchella

Leptomantispa pulchella? - Leptomantispa pulchella
East Greenwich, Kent County, Rhode Island, USA
August 27, 2010
Size: 11.5mm, hd to abd
Missing one arm, but still managed to hunt. When it walked it would teeter on the rear legs,
then sometimes pull itself along, using the remaining arm like a climbing pick.

It had moth wing scales hanging from its mouthparts when I returned from changing my camera battery.
I wish I had seen it; it figures that it catches something while I'm gone.

Moved from ID Request.

Buried about 10 pages per day in ID request so I sent it to species. I don't believe it could be much else.

ID confirmed by John Oswald: Leptomantispa pulchella

Nice.
Please thank John Oswald for me.
