Size: aprox 5mm
Many small aprox. 4mm very fast bugs. I did see some mating.
All on the ground. They seldom flew, except for a few inches.

Lygaeid.
This is going to be a lygaeid, or something in one of those related families. May not be able to ID further, though. ID depends largely on nearly microscopic characters not visible here.
