Eastern Panthea larva - Panthea furcilla
Town of Baileys Harbor, The Ridges Sanctuary, Door County, Wisconsin, USA
August 12, 2002
Larva found by summer naturalist, Kristin Fischer. She brought it to me for ID and to rear. I fed it White Pine (Pine strobus), formed a pupa August 31, 2002, overwintered in fruit cellar. Adult eclosed May 18, 2003, but it was badly deformed.
