Grammia f-pallida? - Apantesis figurata
Lakewood, Jefferson County, Colorado, USA
August 5, 2010
Size: 32 mm wingspan
Attracted to UV lights

Confirmation or correction appreciated

This is not G. williamsii
It is G. figurata (or, there is a very slight chance that it is a rare, unusually strongly marked specimen of G. f-pallida).

Moved from Williams' Tiger Moth.

Grammia moth
I don't think G. f-pallida has the "triangles" in the forewing, even though the hindwing looks more like f-pallida than G. parthenice. I think this is a really dark and variable form of Grammia parthenice.
