Size: 1/2 - 3/4 inch wingspan
This was a small butterfly on a bush with small white flowers....thanks for your elp in ID-ing it.....Denise

It looks like a Metalmark--perhaps in Apodemia.

Nice, safe, ID to genus. It's probably Behr's - my choice - or Mormon Metalmark. Perhaps an expert will push the ID to species.
