Noctuidae: Nephelodes minians? - Nephelodes minians

Noctuidae: Nephelodes minians? - Nephelodes minians
Fisher, Polk County, Minnesota, USA
September 1, 2010
Size: Length ~ 2 cm
I've observed what I think are 'gray' and 'red' versions of this moth in the past weeks. I show a 'red' specimen here. The wing pattern seems distinctive, but I'm having trouble finding a good BG image to match this specimen. My best guess is that this moth may belong in the genus Hydraecia, but I'm probably way wrong. I'm hoping that perhaps some noctuid enthusiast might recognize this moth (since it seems to be apparent just now). Thank you for any and all help! ;-)
