Strange creature - Papilio glaucus

Strange creature - Papilio glaucus
Tulsa, Oklahoma, Tulsa County, Oklahoma, USA
September 2, 2010
Size: 2" long
He is very smooth and soft and travels pretty fast. When I found him he was on the cement moving toward grass. When I first got close to him with my finger, a bright orange antenna came out several times. Then, as I kept holding him, he wouldn't or didn't put the antenna out anymore.

Moved from ID Request.

butterfly caterpillar
Eastern Tiger Swallowtail (Papilio glaucus)
The coloration looks like he's about to pupate.
The orange "antenna" is called osmeterium, and comes out when they're disturbed.
