Leaf Beetle - Ophraella sexvittata

Leaf Beetle - Ophraella sexvittata
Houston, Harris County, Texas, USA
September 3, 2010
Looks like Ophraella to me.

Moved from Ophraella conferta.

Moved from Leaf Beetles.

Ophraella conferta
Yes, I agree. I think it is Ophraella conferta.

6 spp. of Ophraella in TX, but...
Ophraella conferta isn't listed among the TX spp. (though it is recorded for LA). (1)

Riley (2) lists the following spp. up the road at College Station:

Ophraella communa LeSage
Ophraella notata (Fabricius)
Ophraella notulata (Fabricius)

how about sexvittata
I think you get the very similar sexvittata in the south. It doesn´t look right for the other three you mention
