Size: 3.45mm
Roadside net sweep. Thick swaths of a wild pea, purple in color. Keyed this
out using (1) and (2) to Sitona, then used the second ref
to come up with S. lineatus; no postocular lobe, straight anterior margin
of prothorax and the transverse groove of prosternum being so close to pro
coxae. Mandibles large and densly squamate. Confirmation/correction please.

The prosternal transverse groove touching the coxal cavities in front is unique to S. lineatus in the U.S.
