Tom Murray and I had a bugguide get-together today in a wooded area where we found lots of under-bark invertebrates. I knew I was shooting a small centipede along with the beetle, but I didn't notice the tiny tufted millipede (upper right) till I blew it up on the computer.

Editors can zoom in to better view the millipede.

Tufty
Here's a blowup of the tiny tufted millipede;

Great shots
Jim.

trifecta
Looks like you like getting 3 bugs in each picture. You have 3 elaterids in your next picture.
It was a good day of finding bugs with you today. We should see if some of the other New Englanders want to get together for a bugguide day in the field.

When I teased Lynette about coming with us (bad mean thing to do ;-), I did suggest the possibility of bugguide field trips to her. It's probably going to be rather regional since we're all out taking photos rather than earning our millions, and travel costs will therefore be a somewhat limiting factor.
