Rydell National Wildlife Refuge, Polk County, Minnesota, USA

Another newbie for me! ;-) This looks like it may be an example of the Nevada Buck Moth (Hemileuca nevadensis). The male moth was found dead (but in nice shape) on a gravel road on the Rydell NWR, Minnesota. Looking for confirmation or refutation of identity. Thanks!

Yes
Hemileuca nevadensis is the only Hemileuca sp present in MN, although the population in MN most likely belongs to the H. nevadensis species complex.

Thanks, Ryan!
Thanks, Ryan! It seems that I stumble into 'new' species of moths (well, new for for me anyway) every time I wander east into NW Minnesota. Pretty exciting! ;-)
