Size: 3.5 mm
This specimen was captured on exposed limestone in a shaded moist area. Tarsi are 3 segmented, pterostigma absent, wings covered with scales, front femur with a row of spines. The forewings have a slight posterior facing protrusion from the apical edge as shown in "A Review of the psocids, or barklice, of Texas", J. of the Wash. Acad. Sci. 46(11): 353-368, 1956 by E. L. Mockford & A. B. Gurney.

Range for Lithoseopsis hellmani
According to Mockford in "North American Psocoptera", p. 102: "{This} species has been found at Ezel's cave near San Marcos, TX...on limestone outcrops. It has also been found at Cola de Caballo, El Diente, and Iturbide in Nuevo Leon State, Mexico, at each locality on rock outcrops."
