Oxoplatypus, 1 sp. - SE US to AZ, on oak
Treptoplatypus, 2 spp. - T. abietis (AZ-NM-UT), T. wilsoni (BC & nw. US)
Identification
Sexual dimorphism pronounced in many spp. The ventral surface is key to ID.
Remarks
this group may be sister to the remaining Curculionidae sensu Bouchard et al. 2011(2)
