False Honey Ants (Prenolepis imparis) workers
Everybody seems to be very busy at digging out a new underground net of rooms and tunnels for the 2006 season (having overwintered at a deeper level). At once shiny and hairy cuticle and overall outline are peculiar to this species, the only one of its genus in North-America.
