large moth - Xylophanes tersa
Panama City Beach, Bay County, Florida, USA
September 7, 2010
Photograph of a dead specimen, found in a window, an apparent death trap for many insects, especially dragonflies. I believe I saw the same species a few days later flittering hummingbird-like around some flowers at dusk.
