Moved tentatively
Moved from Apioninae.

Trichapion rostrum?
MJ Hatfield alerted me that she has dealt with Baptisia seedpod weevils in a previous BG posting:

Same species?

sounds convincing to me
still, it's a tough group and you better have the specimen expert-examined; the trouble is, though, that after Dave Kissinger's retirement nobody seems to be willing to work with the apionines in earnest :/

likely, a Trichapion... or Coelocephalapion
there are 2 more [much smaller] genera assoc'd w/Fabaceae i can't exclude at this point

Moved from Beetles.
