Catalog of Leaf Beetles of America North of Mexico
By Ed Riley, Shawn Clark, and Terry Seeno
Coleopterists Society, 2003
Cite: 4548 with citation markup [cite:4548]
I saw this on Bioquip's new publication page. I do not see this listed on amazon.com. Spiral-bound, 290 pages, ncludes CD. Bioquip has it for $60. What looks like my Passionflower-loving friend, Disonycha discoidea appeart to be pictured on the cover. It is not clear that there are other illustrations--this is apparently an annotated checklist, not a field guide or identification manual.

Published by the Coleopterists Society.

Update 2/5/24--available from the Biodversity Heritage Library: Bibliographic information, title page.

thanks!
I added links to the main entry.

Catalog of Leaf Beetles - current ordering information
Until 2003, the most complete catalog or listing of leaf beetles for North America has been the "Red Version List" compiled by John Wilcox in 1975 as part of Ross Arnett's North American Beetle Fauna Project, an initiative that sought to produce a catalog for the Coleoptera of America north of South America. The original "Red Version" leaf beetle checklist is an uncommon publication and not found in most libraries.

The present catalog is intended to update the "Red Version" checklist by providing a modern synopsis of the genus- and species-group nomenclature for the species occuring in the conterminous United States, Canada, and Alaska.

Included with the catalog is a "Search and Sort" CD

This cross-platform stand-alone database (Mac & PC) is designed to search for chrysomelids and locations (state and/or provinces) within the range of the catalog:

Location - Lists genera and species for a selected State or Province;
Genus - Lists species and location for a selected genus;
Location & Genus - Lists the species in a selected genus and selected State or Province.

Full Text?
Mike, I couldn't find the Full Text at the link in your comment...just a PDF for the ordering form. (I was interested in species list and locations for Trirhabda...but beyond that don't currently have enough potential use to justify buying the entire catalogue.)
