Unidentified Hemipteran - Oncopeltus fasciatus

Unidentified Hemipteran - Oncopeltus fasciatus
Tulsa Mohawk Park, Tulsa County, Oklahoma, USA
September 14, 2010
Size: ~2 cm
An unidentified Hemipteran found today in a field full of active pollinators and predators; there were also abundant leaf-footed bugs (Leptoglossus phyllopus) but I was unable to identify this pictured specimen; it landed on a tall grass leaf and held its wings aloft strangely (much like a small fly) for a few seconds. A student in the class I TA is interested in doing a project on some of the true bugs in the area so we're curious as to the genus and species of this one. I know it's not a larva but beyond that I'm kind of stumped, even after browsing through all the terrestrial Hemiptera. Thanks!

Thank you very much for the ID and also for the advice; it's sort of a habit from other sites but I will avoid it in the future if it's not preferable. Thanks again!!
