Centipede - Scolopendra

Centipede - Scolopendra
Alamogordo, Otero County, New Mexico, USA
September 15, 2010
Size: 6"
I am hoping someone can tell me what species. I thought all species had venom but read online were some are harmless? My gut told me this was not one of the harmless ones though...lol. I got to watch it weave it's way under the newly mowed grass and basically disappear. I have NEVER seen a centipede this size either!

Tropical centipede
Genus Scolopendra. Definitely NOT harmless - use caution if you handle it.

Thanks!
Is it Scolopendra polymorpha? It looks a lot like this: http://bugguide.net/node/view/29161/bgimage and that one was found in NM too.

That is my first guess
but let's wait to see what the experts say.
