Size: 8 mm
Collected from a partially submerged rotten log at the edge of the lake surround by 2nd growth coniferous forest. Other associated beetles included Dyschirius spp., various staphylinids, and hydrophilids (Cymbiodyta).
Formerly Agonum quadratum; this species can be distinguished by pronotum being shallowly sinuate just before the hind angles and the all-black appendages. Metallic lustre is faint in this species.
