i suspect that in this case 'Eurygenius' is used to include spp currently treated in other genera, and the species wildii may have been transferred elsewhere. i e-mailed Don Chandler asking for a taxonomic clarification.

R. wildii
is found in a rough triangle from Iowa to Alabama to Texas, based on the records I have gathered over the years. Missouri is certainly within this triangle. I can't see the emarginate eyes, but this is the only species with long, erect elytral tactile setae that occurs in this area - Rilettius is found in western Texas.

thanks a lot, Don

Retocomus
ITIS has it under Retocomus (per Don Chandler :)

thought so -- thanks a ton, Tim
