Phidippus borealis? - Phidippus johnsoni

Phidippus borealis? - Phidippus johnsoni
Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
March 23, 2006
Found another spider that looks the same as one I posted last year. A lttle earier this time. It did have a couple of different opinions in posts but it seems to have been put down as a Phidippus borealis. Do the experts agree?

Moved
Moved from Phidippus borealis.

Correct
This is P. borealis as well is your other image.

Spider ID
Thank you both for your info. I never catch them or anything like that. Just a few pics of living specimens. Till they decide to go.

Any
chance you could collect one in a clear container and take a picture of it's venter?
Or look for three gray stripes (borealis), black or gray with no stripes (johnsoni), on the underside.
I think those are the two likely possibilities, probably the latter.
